Founded in 2014 by Sadig Alakbarov in Belgium, Greenmood creates 100% natural acoustic solutions for modern interiors. Using specially preserved moss, cork and plants, our products reduce noise pollution, enhance wellbeing and bring a biophilic aesthetic to professional environments — all without any maintenance.
Today, Greenmood is one of the most recognized manufacturers and exporters of biophilic design solutions in the world. With offices in Belgium, France, North America, the UK, South Korea, Poland, Romania and Azerbaijan, we export to over 20 countries worldwide.
Our mission has always been the same: bringing nature indoors while minimizing our ecological footprint, from raw material to delivery.
The word biophilia was first introduced by philosopher and psychoanalyst Erich Fromm to describe “a passionate love for life and all that is alive”.
The concept was further developed by biologist Edward O. Wilson, who highlighted the deep connection between humans and nature in his book Biophilia.
Biophilic design is the practice of integrating natural elements into our built environment. It improves health, happiness and productivity, while reducing stress, anxiety and absenteeism. In short: it helps people feel and perform better.

We work exclusively with renewable and biodegradable materials such as cork, moss, lichen and foliage. All greenery is preserved using an eco-friendly, chemical-free process that requires no water, light or trimming.
We also maintain a short, transparent supply chain by selecting local European partners and responsible logistics to keep our environmental impact as low as possible.
Our products are not just decorative — they reduce ambient noise naturally. Cork and preserved moss offer certified sound-absorbing properties, tested according to ISO 11654:1997 in professional acoustic labs.
We design with purpose, combining form, material and function to deliver natural acoustic comfort — without synthetic foams or fiberglass.
